The Meeting Point
My morning round begun at 6 am, and luckily, most of the complicated decisions had been made prior and the patients were already told that the morning visit would be a whirlwind one. I was done by 7.30 and quickly hopped into the car, driving the 20 minutes into town, straight to park at Central Market.
The original plan was to meet up at Bukit Bintang, but the day prior to the walk, Ripi, our Walk Leader decided to change the meeting venue nearer to Bukit Nanas so that we can tackle the hill before the sun get searing hot - which in the end turned out to be a great idea.
A few of my friends were already there and after a quick breakfast, I got a lift from them to get to ABC One Bistro where the walk started proper.
This early in the morning, Central Market was still quiet and the drive which normally takes 15 minutes in heavy traffic took less than 5. Parking was also easy at the Bursa and we were charged RM6 per entry - lasting the whole day. Time to meet the rest of the crowd …
