Utilising Public Transport

I had always tried to use the public transport as much as I could. So, I gave myself a task today of getting to an exhibition at Bangunan KSK near Jalan Doraisamy just by using the public transport.

And it was a Sunday, which happened to be the first weekend of school holiday leading up to Aidil Adha celebration.

I had a choice of either parking my car at KL Sentral or KLCC as I will be going out arraign from my Sunday morning ward round. I decided for KLCC in the end since I wanted to visit Kinokuniya as well.

I made my way towards Avenue K where the LRT station is located. Stopped 3 stations later at Masjid Jamek. Walked out and had some biryani at Restoran Shahira as an early lunch.

I then walked by River of Life, towards Medan Pasar with a quick stop at Ruang which was hosting a flea market that afternoon. I then took the LRT from Pasar Seni station two stops down to Dang Wangi.

From there, it was just a 5 minutes walk across the bridge to Bangunan KSK.

After I was done with the exhibition, I doubled back to Dang Wangi station, taking the train back to KLCC. Convenient to be honest although the connections were not extensive. That is why the extended MRT project would be of benefit to the city as long as people use it. Certainly beat driving in heavy traffic and the need to look for parking. Grab might be an alternative but this is certainly a better way to get around town if the destination is near a station.
