@12Haven Part I
This would be the first time we tried AirBnB. And judging from this experience, it won’t be the last. Anita had been planning for a weekend stay in PD at a villa by the beach for some time. The timing was right with the cycling event on Sunday. I cancelled my Friday morning clinic, and we were able to check-in by lunch.
Anita had a few options but in the end, picked @12Haven at the north part of the town centre. It was only five minutes away from Grand Lexis Resort which we were familiar with. It had a wading pool, which is was the key ...
Securing the booking was straight forward, and the caretaker was terrific! He made sure everything was ready and answered our queries in double-quick time. The actual place was much better than we expected, and it was clear that the owner treated the place as if he was inviting his friends in for the weekend.
Getting there was simple, as we exit the Seremban-PD Highway at Lukut, avoiding the town centre. It was just over an hour from our apartment in Bangsar. The caretaker was already waiting for us with the keys and showed us through the house. They have cleaners coming daily to clean the rooms and kitchen as well as a gardener making sure everything was proper. The caretaker was reachable at all times - we had to call them twice with problems with the TV and some lights issue, and they were at the house within 15 minutes.
The bungalow has a large lounge area with TV, a cosy dining area with separate dry and wet kitchens. You could cook there if you want to, plus fridges, water dispensers and microwave provided. There was a patio leading up the pool with a bar area and swings. There were deckchairs as well, plus they provided us with swimming towels - which we just leave with the caretaker to clean the next day.
