240224 Diary

It was a lazy start to the day. I decided to chill out during breakfast, enjoying the sunshine at home before I start my morning rounds. By the time I reached the hospital, most of the blood results were ready. I tried to get everything sorted by noon, as I planned to go out with Anita this afternoon.

Unfortunately, as I stepped into the carpark, I got a call to attend a referral which needed to be sorted out immediately. So, plans delayed. But honestly, it was not too bad. I managed to get a late lunch at Starhill - at Opera as Anita was craving the pasta there.

After lunch, with the car parked at Starhill, we took a ten minute strolls towards TRX Exchange - the second time we were there. Looks like more shops were open, and I am sure more would be starting business in time for Raya. We stopped by Laderach, a chocolate outlet from Switzerland. I remember walking into such shop in Europe before. The chocolate looked really tempting but I must say that I preferred Patchi.

Quite a walk in the end. We decided against sitting down for coffee at TRX as it looked like it would start to rain soon. We walked back to Starhill and the moment we settled into a cafe there, it poured outside. We made it in time. Despite the overcast weather outside, the humidity was high still. We could feel the heat even indoors. So, despite the rain, I wanted to have a cold drink. I ordered "pineapple sunrise", a cocktail at the cafe - V88 - expecting something citrusy and cooling. instead, it was coconut milk, without any hint of fruits ... I was struck out!

We waiting until the rain stopped, and managed to avoid any traffic jam on our way home. It was just before sunset when we settled back, and enjoyed the rest of our Saturday. United would be playing later tonight. We might just catch some of the action then ...
