240211 Diary
It was the second day of Chinese New Year, and a Sunday to boot. No photowalk planned for today, but the nice sunshine made me yearn to go outside at some point. But. first there were plenty to do.
I set off to work relatively early since we planned to go to Kajang for lunch. Mak was looking my favourite dishes, so I kept my breakfast light. Traffic was kind and we reached there without much hassle. Guess more traffic was in the centre of town than the outskirts.
Irfan did not want to stay too long in Kajang. And we reached Bangsar by 3. So, I decided to take my camera out before the late afternoon rain. I was lucky.
I took the Hasselblad for stills and the ZV-E1 which captured most of the footage in this video. The destination - Kwai Chai Hong. But the crowd was more than I expected. Despite the main area being closed, plenty of the surrounding cafe was opened. Plenty of foreigners were there, enjoying some drinks and sunshine.
I made the mistake of not checking my batteries. It turned out that the Hasselblad was drained. Luckily I had a back-up battery in the bag. I took the route through Petaling Street on the way back. It was trouble. The place was packed with the majority of the workers there were Bangladeshi! That explained why it was opened despite Chinese New Year.
I was torn between having a quick drink or maybe some mee ladna at Al-Baik or going straight home. It was then I realised that the cloud was dark above. I decided to head home instead. Since I parked the car at Muzium Negara, I took the MRT back to the car from Pasar Seni - just one stop. Again, more crowd!
I settled back home before it rained. Got all the batteries charged, my video and still files uploaded. It would be early dinner tonight - some pizza - before watching ManYoo playing Vill at midnight. But the main event would be tomorrow morning at 7.30. Chiefs playing the 49ers in Las Vegas. It's Super Bowl baby! And Anita prepared tiramisu for that!
