240222 Diary

The mundane Thursday was transformed today with the appearance of lion around the hospital. It was high tea time and the place was buzzing.

I wore red as planned and after sorting out my patients in the morning, I spent the afternoon with the management for high tea and got to meat the team from MHTC - Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council. They were at the high tea event, so representatives from nearby hospitals and the insurance company. SJMC as one of the Flagship Medical Tourism Hospital felt their presence. It did help that the CEO was an ex-patient of mine.

We had some fruitful discussion and hopefully this would lead to something.

After the discussions and food, it was time to enjoy some lion dance. The hospital blocked out the main entrance and the staffs lined up the patient drop-off area by the door. The lion then went into the main building and went up to the clinics. Me, on the other hand joint the rest of the staffs at the cafe for more food and drinks.

Unfortunately I had a meeting at 5, followed by the afternoon rounds before leaving for home. Luckily, I discharged most of my inpatients this morning. I had a couple of meetings lined up tomorrow afternoon and this weekend looked to be a busy one, as I had a couple of lectures to prepare as well as ironing out the MSH Conference coming in a couple of months time.
