Mellow Saturday

It was one of those strange Saturday. I had to hang around being on call, but the admissions were slow to come. The morning was busy and being Saturday, the clinic was busy. I was also covering for my Oncology colleague which meant that I had some extra patients to see in Day Care. As a result, I started my clinic late. There was already a backlog when I arrived.

After the clinic was done at 2, I drove to Shah Alam, about 30 minutes away to attend a wedding. A dear patient’s daughter was getting married, and he worked hard that he was down with pneumonia a couple of weekends back. I had to admit him for a couple of nights of antibiotics and today, he was back to his usual self. He was glad to see me there, and the food was brilliant.

Still no admissions. I decided to drive back to the apartment and only return later in the evening to see admissions, and the first call came as soon as I reached home. Luckily it was one of those admissions which could wait.

I spent the rest of the afternoon at the apartment. The boys were starting their mid term break and had been at their consoles all morning. Anita was out with her friend as well. So, I was left with not much to do. Maybe I should watch TV .... ManYoo playing Chelski later!
