Preparing for Saturday

It was that time of the year again. The first weekend of October. This for the Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. It would be the 11th Edition this year, and since 2009, I had been joining my friends from KLickr for an annual meet.

We had made plans. We had discussed where to meet, and where we would be headed. I have cancelled my clinic a couple of months back when the date was confirmed. Now, I am praying that the weather would be kind. Lately, there had been thunderstorms in the afternoon with nice early morning sunshine. Let hope it will be pretty much the same this Saturday.

Again, Ripi had volunteered to organise the meet. This edition, we will be exploring Bukit Bintang, and then heading up Bukit Nanas - now called KL Forest Eco Park, having lunch somewhere there hopefully. I also heard that there would be an exhibition at Ruang in town. So, I might be heading there after lunch, if I still have the stamina.

On a personal level, I would be doing an early ward round Saturday Morning, and possibly park my car at KL Sentral before taking the LRT/MRT into Bukit Bintang. That way, I could be flexible in terms of coming back. I could just hop the train from anywhere.

As for the gear, I have finally decided that it would be the Sony Alpha 7R mark II with my Leica Summicron-M 50 on a converter, plus the GoPro Hero7 Black. That way, I could get wide-angle and video shots with the GoPro, leaving the sharp end for the Alpha 7R-Summicron combo. I spent the afternoon cleaning my gear and getting the charge and firmware up to date.

3 more days ....
