Sunday at Publika

Publika was fast becoming our favourite place to hang out on Sundays. They offered some nice cafe, place to hang out and a nice selection at the grocery store on the Lower Ground Floor. They had plenty of restaurants as well, from Italian to banana leaf, both indoors and outdoors.

It you were good at finding a parking spot, then there would be always one for you. And more often than not, there would be some event happening at the courtyard or the annexes called the White and Black Boxes.

When the sun came out, the see-through roof of the complex let plenty of sunlight in which made the pace more charming and inviting. They also host pop-up stores most weekends.

A few weekend ago, I visited the mall on their typical Sunday afternoon. Stopped for a drink as soon as I reached there before venturing out. Some music was playing at the courtyard - Harith Iskander was launching his cage that weekend and had a launch party with open air band music playing.

I then walked across further to White Box to watch the "Kopi Susu" exhibition. There was another event going on at Black Box at the same time. All was done within an hour - which was a good thing since my phone kept on ringing.

A convenient place to go for a quick escape, which I would really recommend. And it was only 15 minutes away from my place.
