Confluential
I had the chance to attend another of Kenny Loh's exhibition this weekend. I had the Sunday lunch to myself after my morning rounds and I decided to pop around to see this, a photo-essay exhibition on Kuala Lumpur, coinciding with Merdeka - called Confluential.
The venue was not a place I was used to. Bangunan KSK is located along Jalan Doraisamy where Slate is located. Rather than struggling to find parking, I decided to take the LRT instead.
The building looked plain in the outside and with this being Sunday, there were hardly anybody there. Luckily the security guard was a great help and he ushered me in to the exhibition areas - which were located on the 5th and 7th floors.
As I popped my head around the 7th floor area, Kenny was there to greet me. He was actually in his way out after being there all day. We went on to have a chat. He was planning a release of his next book some time in October. And the venue would be at the very room we were in. Certainly, the place looked amazing with nice sofa and tables to really soak in the atmosphere. Launching his book there would be brilliant.
He had a few new items on show but the bulk of them I was already familiar with. Rather than rush my way through I decided to have a sit on one of the plush sofa there and do a bit of reading. Before leaving, I stopped by the second part of the exhibition, a smaller place compared to the first.
I am looking forward to his next book for sure and if the timing is right, I might be able to attend the launch as well. If it is anywhere near as good as the first one, we would be in for a treat!
