School is Off

Revision was abandoned …

Revision was abandoned …

My boys could not hide their elation when we received the message from the school that the campus would be closed for Thursday. But not only that, Friday was off as well. No school for the rest of the week. And with last Monday being Malaysia Day, it was only a two-day week.

Irfan was revising for a test last night, and as soon as the news came, he went straight to his room and started playing his games! Checking the situation this morning, the haze was definitely thick outside, and we could do with a bit of rain to wash it off.

Anita would be taking her Dad for a Doctor's appointment later. So, I was not sure what the plans for the boys would be. I am sure whatever it was, it would not involve school ...

Was expecting it to be worse than this this morning

Was expecting it to be worse than this this morning

The effect of the haze could definitely be felt the moment we stepped outside. The smell was the first one which hit you and staying out for long, you could start to feel your stomach churning. I had headaches and migraine attacks last week when the haze started. And I was sure I could get another one if I stay outside too long.

Compared to yesteryear, the smell of the haze this time around was more pungent. I think the quality of the air is worse. At the rate we were going, I am not sure how long it would take for the air quality to improve. Sarawak seemed pretty severely affected still. So is Singapore. But at least, the boys were happy.

At least I know the traffic would be good this morning ...
