RMO Day 2
Reflecting on how unprepared we were when we enter this phase of the quarantine, nobody really knows the exact term in English. After reading a few formal documents, the most appropriate term I could come up with in “Restricted Movement Order”. But then, true to the theme, the term may change again tomorrow ...
Today, the Public is taking it more seriously. The roads were emptier, and the Police were starting to erect roadblocks. One was put up right by the entrance to SJMC, making life miserable for the afternoon shift coming in. Maybe they should move the blockade somewhere else unless they were keen to check on our nurses! We, Doctors, were told to have our ID handy and will be given letters from Management to carry around.
Today was a smooth one. My patients coming to Day Care arrived extra early, and all of them were keen to get out fast. I was done well ahead of time and had a long lunch session. I was then able to leave the hospital right after my rounds were done. From now on, I try to keep my rounds shorter and hopefully do not have to linger around in the hospital for too long.
When I arrived home, Idlan had already started his tuition session. Since the teacher had to move around to reach us, we decided against having sessions during the RMO. After all, rumour has it that I-GCSE may be postponed until September. We had an early dinner and are planning to retire early. Idlan especially was already tired, and he has another long day of virtual school coming up tomorrow.
Smooth days and looking forward to the weekend ...
