TTDI MeatPoint

For our engagement anniversary, Anita and I went out looking for a place to dine, and we came across in the blogs about a halal steak house in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Only a 15 minutes drive from our apartment, it was easy to get to on the Saturday evening traffic.

TTDI MeatPoint indeed offered plenty in a tiny place. A simple joint but comfortable. The staff were friendly, and it helped that they had plenty of them to attend to the tables.

We called in for our table since Saturday evening was peak time for the restaurant. Parking was also tricky, but we were there by 6.30 and managed to get a spot right in front of the shop. After we were sat at our table, we went to the meat fridge to pick our cut. There was a selection of wagyu, grain-fed, lamb and even salmon for you to choose from and both of us went for the wagyu ribeye. The price was clearly printed on the package and you, of course, pick the done-ness, the seasoning, the gravy as well as the side dishes.

15 minutes later, and the food was on the table. And they were terrific!

The cut was succulent and the seasoning - we went for the in-house special - was just right. The mashed potatoes were creamy, and the vegetables were fresh. It was perfect. It was not long before we finished the meat as I was hungry that day, having a meeting in Ara Damansara after the morning clinic.

Yes!!!

We could only hold our table until 8 pm as other guests were coming in later. But an hour and a half was plenty of time. We would definitely be coming back in the future, with Idlan, our resident meat-eater! Price-wise, it was not the cheapest. In fact, it was comparable to Atlas at Four Seasons, where we usually go to for our fix. More information on the restaurant from its website and it would be best to book a table in advanced, especially during weekends.
