Masked Walk
The COVID-19 outbreak has undoubtedly changed the way people dressed up in the open. Yes, almost everyone was a mask now. I even had a chap on Instagram who actually post a project on people wearing masks in town for his street photography project, all captured in black and white for that extra atmosphere.
So, I encountered quite a number of them when I was out last weekend. I took my usual walk around Bukit Bintang, surprised to learn that the area by the Bukit Bintang MRT exit had already been occupied by rows of stores.
Talking to the sellers there, the stalls would be up until Ramadhan, and indeed, it added colour to the area. During the weekend, with street musician blaring music, it was quite an atmosphere.
It was day time when I visited, in sunny weather. So, I mingled and enjoyed some drinks. The place was kept tide with rows of table and chairs being set up. The area for rubbish was also clearly assigned. Everybody was friendly, and the prices were reasonable by KL standard. Definitely, something to look for if you happened to be around Bukit Bintang. The food I meant, not the COVID-19 virus!
