Out in the Open

It had been almost three months since I had a chance to take my camera out and walk into town. Last Sunday, I went out for my rounds early and was out all morning until lunch just walking around.

I did not make any plans with friends to shoot together. I decided to go solo, parking the car at Central Market - which was closed for renovations - and walked towards almost empty Chinatown. Emerging on the other side, I headed towards Dataran Merdeka and River of Life, exploring the newly completed mural by the riverbank.

Less crowded than it typically was on a Sunday, I chatted with a few patrons enjoying their morning walks, some on a bicycle, some with cameras, and some even doing some sketching. It was a lovely morning to walk around actually, bright sunshine and a light breeze.

I decided against taking the MRT though since they were plans not to implement social distancing in the trains - something I am vehemently against! Everybody was wearing their masks and just enjoying the newfound freedom.
