Corridors of E&O
I am sure those marble floors had plenty of tales to tell. They survived two world wars and was present during the whispers of Merdeka when the young Malayan leaders at the time must have walked through here. They were storied. Not to mention picturesque.
Now, the corridors just oozed opulence. I could walk them all days. They were long and windy, especially on the upper floors, a wrong turn might get you lost.
These days, for the privacy of the guests, you could not get onto the upper floors without keycards. There were plenty of chairs and desk to sit at on the sides, with tall windows letting in the occasional breeze. As well as natural lights seeping in from all angles.
Such splendour.
