Taking Things Easy
Since the beginning of November, I had been working non-stop. My initial plans to have some break over Xmas period was dashed when my father-in-law took ill. Then came the funeral and one thing let to another, the lock-down and all, the days have fallen into a routine.
I planned to take some days off after Chinese New Year, but it looked again that my schedule will be looking tight. I have five patients undergoing leukaemia induction at the moment. That is going to be hard work. But then again, in this day and age, having work is always good. But I could do with a few days off.
The plan today was to have a quiet ward round and take the rest of the day easy. Maybe go out for lunch and do some shopping. Unfortunately, I had been at the hospital since 5 am this morning, ending up sleeping at the lounge waiting for the morning rounds.
If only I could go out with my camera in tow. I had also been eyeing a few items at Low Yat Plaza. That would have to wait as well. At the moment, the next move from the Government as far as the lock-down is concerned remained unclear. It is difficult to make any plans in that case.
