Back to the Old Route

As the parks around town were slowly reopened, Anita and I had been getting ourselves back to the old groove. In fact, Anita had even been out with her friends when I was at work to keep up with things. However, the warm weather did not help matters. Most of the streams had dried up. The shades still protected us from the sun and the breeze ... that was something else.

After the 1 kilometre walk on the new route, we went for the full monty the week after. We took the longest route - just under three-kilometre, completing it in just after an hour.

The new SOP meant that it was all along with a single file, and detour into the alternative routes was discouraged - some were even closed. There were also warnings that some of the swings and sitting areas were not regularly sanitised - so use at your own risk!

But we needed the greenery after being cooked up indoors for the last few weeks. Unfortunately, most of the facilities at the exit remained closed. The food truck was not yet operational, although you can get some drinks from the security guards on the way out. The washroom was also opened.

I counted at least ten cars in the car park when we left. Indeed, plenty of people started to come. It might soon be becoming too popular ...
