I take stairs usually at the hospital. It gives me some work-up, and during the pandemic, I avoid being crammed into a small space in the lift. With the limitation on the number of people using the lifts on each trip, the queue to get in was long.

But for me, there is nothing more awkward than being stuck in the lift with my patients or their relatives. Not cool.

Over the weekend, I noticed that our stairways had been decorated. Bright colours with cheerful slogans to read as you climb your way up. Some of them were too cheesy for my liking, but overall, it is a welcomed change ...
