Enjoying the Walks

Since the lockdown had been loosened up, Anita and I had been enjoying our afternoon walks. The aim was to get home by 6, and then we would straight away leave the apartment for the Lake Garden, only 10 minutes away.

Lately, the traffic has been kind, and we were back home by 7.30, managing to get 3 km out of the outing.

The Lake Garden has been getting more crowded in the last week. Most people were still working from home, saving time from the evening commute to the parks instead. I could see many families bringing their children along, some of them on bicycles just enjoying the fresh air.

We tended to park at the multi-story carpark in front of the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters, which is right by one of the main entrances into the park. Time permitting, we would stop by the lake for ten minutes before making our way home.

It has been rather lovely, but I am sure the park will again be crowded as things return to normal, especially during weekends. We shall be enjoying the lull as it lasts ...
