Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya
This is a unique one. This place should be placed under the file - a hidden gem. Because this was precisely what it is. Nestled in Cyberjaya with a concrete exterior, the inside could not be more in contrast. It was green. Everywhere.
Tamarind Square is a mixed business and residential complex. Apart from offices and supermarket - plus a BookXcess outlet - the cafe and restaurants around there caught our attention. The place is a magnet for Instagrammers looking for photos. Myself included.
Looking around, only 30% of the shops were occupied. I am not sure if this is due to the pandemic; the uptake is slow. The pace there was slow enough that I could see myself just sitting at one of the cafes all afternoon, much in contrast with KL, only half an hour away.
When Idlan and Irfan finally had the chance to visit, they were surprised at how nice the place was. And they enjoyed the food at one of the cafes, KOJO, as well. Parking was also easy, as they have both open space and underground carparks. Plus, it was free!
