Ramadan 2023

The glorious Masjid Jamek a week before Ramadan

Ramadan this year started on a Thursday. So, I decided to take the first couple of days off, stretching it straight into the weekend. Effectively, I started with a long break - a much-needed one!

I spent the first day in Gombak but returned to Bangsar to join Irfan for berbuka. Idlan had a busy stretch and was only able to return on Sunday. Hence, Ramadan starts slowly for me. We had berbuka at a restaurant for the following evening, as well as we started with some shopping as well. Don’t ask me what’s the colour theme for this year. I can’t even pronounce it ...

I cleared up the mess in my old study, unearthing plenty of old stuff - including the original Olympus OM-D E-M1. My one and only Olympus camera. I never got the colour science and have since stuck with Leica and Fuji. I also had time to decide what to add to my new clinic. I had a few ideas and made a few enquiries. I wanted to buy a cabinet but needed to do some measuring first.

The most important thing of all, I think I managed to catch up on my sleep. It is a luxury for me to go back to sleep after sahur and Subuh prayers. Usually, it was straight to work. For the last few days, I only needed to leave for the office by 9 am. I have already planned for a few days off during Nuzul Quran and sorted out my Eid holidays.

Unfortunately, it will be back to reality tomorrow ... Monday is calling. And with the extended break, I knew the clinic would be a busy one ...
