240125 Diary

It was a public holiday. We were celebrating Thaipusam.

Early start for the ward round as I had to send the Mac Studio for repairs at Mid Valley by noon. The Studio had been having issues booting up for the last few days and since it was still under warranty, I might as well get it fixed.

While waiting, Anita and I had brunch at Padi cafe, and we reached the store to send in the computer on time. I did some more shopping afterwards while the crowd was still building. Then we were off to listen to Azul's talk at an event for N4 at JioSpace. It was the first time we were there, and we found out that the place was lined up with cafes.

After a quick snack, I tucked myself in for Azul's talk. He was sponsored by Fujifilm, and he spoke on his favourite subject, street photography at night ...

After the talk, I picked up a discount for the 24mm f1.4 GM, before settling in for a chat and some drinks with the gang.

My desk looked empty when I reached home without the Mac Studio. I had to hook up my MacBook Pro - which I used to process this video. It felt different and despite the Studio was using the M2 Ultra, it felt much faster than this M3 Max I was using.

Back to work tomorrow I was afraid, so I enjoyed the break while it lasts ...
