Some ole ole

From Sarawak, I brought back a boxful of terubuk masin, a delicacy from Kuching as well as some cookies and kek lapis. For it to stay fresh, I had to pass some of them to my Mum as soon as I reached KL. Since Monday was a public holiday, we went out for a family lunch. My sister, Julia brought Mum over to The Curve and we had lunch at Marche.

Julia initially stopped for a quick shop at IKEA, and despite reaching IKANO before 11.30, there was already a queue leading into the IKEA carpark. We decided to do the sensible thing and parked over at The Curve side. Plenty of spaces still available.

IKEA was packed. The cashier queue were easily ten layers deep and it was not even midday. The queue at the cafeteria was also ridiculously long, and the children were getting right grumpy. For lunch, we went for Marche instead, for a nice relaxing meal. I was a good boy and did not have any steak. I had some rosti and salad instead - well I'd better be after the sumptuous seafood dinners in Kuching.
