Not Been a Good Week
So, I finally started to feel better again after the bout of chest infection. Unfortunately, my luck did not improve as the week unfolded. While being groggy doing my ward round, I lost my favourite pen which I had been carrying for many years. I was pretty sure it was left in the ward as I had it in my lab coat pocket as I was leaving the car at the start.
Good luck then to the new keeper of the Mont Blanc. It had been a loyal servant over the years. Then, I rolled onto my glasses and having had plenty of knocks over its lifetime, the hinge broke, and the lens fell off. Luckily the lens did not go into pieces as it was a personalised multifocal one .... Off to the optician and all it needed was a new frame. It should be ready by the weekend. The old lenses would still be OK.
Then a couple of days back, while driving from my Park City clinic to Subang, my car jolted and it had been rattling ever since, And the noise the engine made was reminiscent of a motorboat! It managed to limp back to the apartment and now awaiting a visit from our mechanics. That would have to wait until the weekend as well ...
Bad things happens in threes as they said. Hopefully, that would be the end of that ... Let’s get 2018 over and done with, and embrace 2019 ....
