While planning my walk around Insadong, I came across this art centre called Ssamsiegil. Apparently it was a must-visit in the area and whenI finally got there, I certainly understood what it meant. It certainly brought the whole area into focus. A mall for those looking for arts and craft when visiting this area, there were plenty to see here. And the unique design of the spiralling walkways in itself was worth the visit.

So, you started at the bottom floor and you walk up a ramp-like walkway all the way to the top where there was a cafe and a small garden was situated. It blended in the modern and the traditional like everything you see in Seoul. If there was one place you need to visit in Seoul due to time limit, then this should be among the top of the list.

Apart from the crafts of display, there were also many activities in the central courtyard as well as restaurants in the basement.

A quick walk outside and you would find tea houses to have something warm to contrast to the cold weather when walking in the open. Situated right in the middle of Insadong, it was easily found and once you were there, you would sure to spend at least an hour looking through the 70 shops at the site. Definitely worth your time ...
