Lunch at Atlas

Anita’s delicious minestrone

Anita’s delicious minestrone

So, Anita and I finally went to Atlas Gourmet Market at Four Seasons yesterday for lunch. I had been wanting to try the steak there for quite some time but for one reason or another, it was never the right time. We usually ended up there late afternoon when it was too early for dinner just yet. But this was a Sunday lunch and I was tired from work, decided to grab a nice lunch then call it the day.

Anita was too full for steak, and she decided to try some of mine. She ordered minestrone soup with prawn cocktail and salad. The waiter who was serving us - Hilmi was his name - made sure that we get what we wanted. I wanted a some lean wagyu with very little seasoning, and before long, we were selecting my cut already.

And it was a great choice, cheaper than other places I had been to, and cooked to perfection - Hilmi insisted on medium rather than my usual medium rare. Again a great piece of advice.

How about Anita’s selections? The minestrone was superb, a la the one I had in Lugano a few years back and the prawn was divine. She also got a nice cup of tea to go with them. All in all, a great lunch!

I would definitely be taking my parents there later. They had very attentive staffs - all locals. And they clearly know their stuff ....

Here comes the meat!

How to get there? We parked at Suria KLCC and walked across to the Shoppe at Four Seasons, taking the escalator to the lower ground floor. Atlas was unmistakeable with a small market there plus a pizzeria next door. We also been to one of its sister cafe, Decadence before, which served some killer donuts and coffee! Highly recommended!
