The Time of the Year
We are now two weeks into Ramadhan. The moon was lovely just now as I was making my way home from Bukit Antarabangsa for breaking fast and prayers. Halfway point of Ramadhan also meant that the preparation for Raya was in full swing.
Anita started early this time around and had planned most things. Today, it was time for some kuih raya and hampers. As usual, we got the cookies from “Love Bake Cookies” at Bangsar Village. We just could not get enough of it, although Anita had sampled some alternatives and had other favourites as well.
Since it was a long weekend this time around, I found that traffic in town was pleasantly light. May be plenty of people took this opportunity to spend some times with family and drove back to their kampungs.
Another tradition of mine was sending raya cards to family and friends. Although most people prefers digital, I found connection of old times by sending off those cards. Such lovely memories ... All I needed to do now was make a trip to the post office, which could be a pain ...
