Sakura at Lot 10
As I walked down the stairs from Bukit Bintang Monorel station walking towards Pavilion, these pink trees caught my eyes. It was an art project by Shan Shan Lim where passers-by pick-up a piece of paper and write a short message of hope and tie them onto the tree. Ms Lim termed it the “Wishing Tree”.
A nice spectacle. It occupied the Lot 10 entrance towards the MRT station - which was closed for maintenance at the time.
A lot of people stopped by to take pictures and to write notes. I had a quick look at the signs. Apparently, it was sponsored by 8 Conlay - a development being built at Jalan Conlay. While Ms Lim is a fashion designer, I was sure what the connection was between the two.
Anyhow, it was an exciting spectacle and used the space in a rather interesting way... Bravo!
