Hooking Up
The best part of shooting in a group is the camaraderie. We get to hook up with fellow photographers and exchange stories and ideas. And that was what happened last weekend when I went out shooting. While waiting for sunset and the light to be just right, we just stood there chatting. Plenty of stories to tell.
Most of them just had an eventful week the weekend before. There were out at Batu Caves shooting Thaipusam. I was on call that weekend and had to give it a miss. And it was too crowded anyway, in the middle of the hot sun!
I noticed that most of my friends do not carry a tripod for the shoot, electing for simple gears mainly for street photography work. Too much hassle to carry heavy equipment although I plan to return in the future with the GFX, on a tripod of course. There were a few angles I had in mind and hopefully, during weekdays, the place would not be too packed! GFX, the 23mm wide-angle and a tripod! Sounds enticing ...
