RMO Day 9 - Stocking up on the Grub
One of the main worry during the time of movement restriction is the supply of food. Things were not perfect, but at the same time, it could have been worse. The first wave of panic buyers are probably swimming in their shopping still and may not need to get out of there house for another couple of months. For everyone else, we had to be creative.
In our household, it was a combination of our maid sneaking out early in the morning on a Grab to the local grocers and Anita being nifty at the keyboard getting Tesco to deliver our orders. But one thing we did not plan was the stock of grub for Idlan and Irfan. Since they are practically still in school, they like to snack. It was easier at school - they just use their Touch&Go card, and we just top them up from time to time. At home, we had to prepare the food.
Luckily, we have FamilyMart at SJMC. Today, I was given a list of things to get for them! OMG, I took home a couple of bags full of snacks and chocolates. Even the girl behind the counter was chuckling as she was packing. I managed to get most things except for bread. That one, I had to put in an order and pray that they have them tomorrow.
Next to FamilyMart, we have an organic food store which also does eggs, milk, fruits and chicken - all organic, of course! Helpful if you run out of things to cook for breakfast. This would keep us going for the rest of the curfew. At least the boys were happy!
