Will be a Slow Start
When I was at Petaling Street, only around 20% of the shops were opened. Usually, on Sunday afternoon, the place was packed. The gift shops were still closed as visitor numbers remained scanty. But the food stalls were slowly opening up. So were the cafes.
REXKL was partially open though. At least the cafe on the round floor. Most of the activities there were still suspended. Social distancing had to be observed all the time, making exhibitions and talks there still impossible.
As the national borders were yet to open, there were no tourists around. I don’t think Chinatown would be back to normal until more visitor arrives. Most of the locals knew to avoid the area except for the food. A period of adjustments were definitely needed. The new normal I guess ...
