Return to Lorong Panggung

On the whole, the murals remained well-maintained

After managing a few days off, Anita got her wish to explore Chinatown more colourful areas. After an afternoon tea at Merchant’s Lane, we walked around the corner to Lorong Panggung, specifically Ghost Lane or Kwai Chai Hong.

It still retained the old splendour, although some of the murals could do with a new coat of paint. The sunny weather also helped to bring out the zest on the paintings. Quite crowded despite being a Thursday afternoon, we did not manage to hang around for too long.

Plenty of small details to be explored

Some fun looking eatery

Definitely, this area is worth the visit, with delightful stops at the many cafes in the surrounding area. It could do with more visitors as the lockdown eased.
