Return to Taman Tugu
The news that restrictions to recreational activities were being lax following the second round of lockdown, Taman Tugu trail had been opened earlier this week. And Anita did not waste any time then to ask me to drive her there.
Social distancing was strictly practised, as well as the route being turned into a one-way walk. The public areas were also restricted. Basically, it was the car park, straight to the trails - with registration via MySejahtera and temperature check - and then back to the car park again. No mingling!
We were also delighted to see that a new trail had just been opened. Away from the original route, we were familiar with, the “Nursery Trail” was shorty at just under a kilometre, but more hilly than the original paths. The footings were more sturdy and less muddy. No area to stop and take a breather which we could see though.
We completed the loop in around 25 minutes. It was threatening to rain. We made it back to the car just in time. We left just before 6 pm - as the crowd were thinning out. The last entry allowed into the compound was 5.45 pm.
We plan to go there again on Saturday afternoon, hopefully, get some dinner straight after that. A nice change from the usual mundane routine we were accustomed to during the MCO.
