Going Round KLCC Park

Taman Botani Perdana was too crowded when we arrived there last Saturday afternoon. And with the rain threatening to fall, we decided against stopping there. We pressed on to KLCC instead.

Since we were already in our gears, we decided to have a walk around the park.

The park has changed quite a bit over the years. With the proper soft turf for jogging, it certainly attracted plenty of ex-pats. Shaded while remaining breezy, it was a very comfortable walk. 20 minutes to make the whole circuit, we would definitely come back again.

Large parts of the park remained closed. Usually, this place would be teeming with children.

A large chink of the park remains closed since the opening of parks had only been announced the week prior. A lot of juggling still being done as far as the SOP were concerned. The water features remained shut with the path only opened in a one-way system.

But, with the modification, the size of the park had definitely shrunk. There were still developments going on near the As-Syakirin Mosque nearby. The size of the greens had definitely gone smaller. I just worry that it would not stop there. Such high-value land won’t stay empty for long unless the authority insists on it being green. With the current state of the Government, it is not something I can count on.

Best to enjoy this piece of greenery smack in the middle of the City while it lasts.
