Back to More Street
Now that the lockdown had been eased and everybody felt more comfortable being out and about, the chance of street photography was aplenty. Shame that I can only do it in KL. I hope that I can do a bit of travelling, see the rest of Malaysia. Maybe that will come in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, work had been busy around Xmas, and it had been three weeks since I last had the chance to take the camera out. And lately, I have been using the Summarit-M 75 mm on the CL, which carried an APS-C sensor, turning it into a telephoto setup. And to be honest, street portrait and architecture worked very well. Better than I expected.
I had also found that the RAW file on the GFX-100S was somewhat more challenging to manage than I expected. I have resigned to shooting with both RAW and jpg mode all the time, and from what I observed, the jpg files had a better colour rendition and tone. Shooting in low ISO did not make much difference in terms of resolution.
So, the coming few walkabouts would be more of an experiment than anything else. But I think I am starting to enjoy street photography again ...
