Return to REXKL

Row after rows of books, neatly stacked on platforms

It has been a while since I have been to REXKL. Usually, I was only there for events and sometimes for lunch if I stumbled in that part of town. But recently, I learned that BookXcess, the bookstore, opened a branch there, and it looked fantastic. Anita was keen to visit, so off we went.

An interesting collection, laden with discounts

It was terrific, really transforming an already iconic building - REXKL being a converted old REX cinema with Art Deco elements - into a new attraction. The book store occupied the upper floors of the building, with the lower ground floor and the main level still open for other events. I counted that the store covered four levels, with a cafe being built.

Anita did not wait long to explore the area. The place was full of turns and nook, something that Anita really loved. So, we had elements of the old and new everywhere we looked. Having the store, there was a brilliant move by REXKL.

True enough

We spent almost an hour there and felt guilty on the way out, not buying any books. We shall save that for next time ...
