Raya Soon

Ramadhan this year has passed by like a breeze. Today will be my last clinic session before taking a few days’ break. Not much plan this year as both Idlan and Irfan will be down for exams in the coming weeks. My mother-in-law will be staying with us, and I will be visiting my mother on the day of Raya as well.

I gather that plenty of the City dwellers would be leaving town. But it would be a massive exodus as school break would only be for a few days, meaning the city folks would be back to KL by the third day of Raya. 

Anita planned to cook me my favourite dish, but there won’t be much of an open house as the fear of contracting COVID during the examinations for my boys remains real. So, it looked like a quiet and private Raya for us again this year.

But that didn’t stop Anita from decorating. She managed to put together quite a light show on our balcony, where I was spending my evening after meals. 

Time to wind down. However, I would be back to work within less than a week. You might as well enjoy the break while it lasts.
