Hurry Raya

Raya this year came a day earlier than expected, catching the majority by surprise. We were lucky that Anita planned everything a day earlier - the shopping, the haircut and even the food deliveries. It didn’t turn out as bad for us compared to others. However, she stayed up late to prepare my favourite dish, soto.

We also did not do any travelling - unless you count the drive to Kajang to be with my mother as one. We had a quiet meal at home after the morning prayers, with my brother-in-law coming over. We then drove to Kajang to join my Mum for lunch. My Aunt visited her on that day as well. Then returning home to Bangsar, one of Anita’s cousins came to visit. And that was our first day.

For the second day, I went to Kajang to spend the day with my Mum as my sister went to Melaka for a couple of days. Nothing much, I just watched some movies the whole day before returning home before dinner. The boys did not come along. They decided to stay home, just relax and do a bit of reading for their coming exams.

On the whole, a really quiet affair. So, on the third day, Anita and I decided to go for a drive out of KL ...
