Lissette's Empire
A couple of weekends back, Anita came along with me during my Sunday morning rounds as I had just recovered from COVID. We decided to take a short drive to Empire Shopping Centre nearby for a spot of brunch. She decided on Lissette’s.
This cafe was owned by the Nala group, which is one of Anita’s favourite designers. The last time we were there was before the pandemic. We remembered that they had a brunch buffet. Unfortunately, that has been discontinued. It was all a la carte that morning.
The place was full, and despite the staff’s best effort, they were behind on the order. But the iced coffee I ordered was heavenly. The ambience remained good, and despite this being a busy mall, the location of the cafe made it secluded from the rest. The food was alright, nothing special to talk about. The main attractions here were the pastries and puffs.
A good spot for passing the time on a Sunday morning.
