Wild Yeast Cafe
Wild Yeast Cafe is a cozy and charming restaurant in Damansara with a rather heartwarming origin story. From what I learned, the owner Terence Chong is a musician with the Malaysian Philharmonic who loved baking. This was where the rustic cafe was born and has been a hit with those living around the area.
Azmel and Dina suggested that we try breakfast there during the Raya break. And we were not disappointed. The ambience was great, and the food was fantastic. I had a salmon croissant topped up with buffalo mozzarella, which went well with the mocha.
We chatted the morning away, and from the foot traffic, we could tell that the place was very popular. It opened at 8.30 am, and we were among the first to arrive. The place was packed by the time we left at 10 am.
The decor was contemporary, and the table arrangement made the place feel more spacious than it actually was. The freshly baked sourdough was a revelation, and we will definitely consider returning if not for the location of the place, which would take us around 20 minutes to drive to.
