May Day Walk Part 1

There are many charming places in Kuala Lumpur. Some were more obvious than others. But these places tended to be the most crowded as well. Therefore, I like to go to these places early in the day, just exploring the sites and taking in the ambience.

During a recent break, I took my camera to Chinatown before things there got really going. I was lucky that the sun was out that day, which brought the colours to life.

This was also the first opportunity for me to study how my Hasselblad behaves in the wild. I was still getting used to the camera at the time.

Despite all the concerns about the focusing system, it performed really well. Maybe it had something to do with my shooting habit. I tended to slow down when I approach the scene and allow the camera to take in the focus.

More snaps from the walk on the next entry.
