It was actually a more exciting day than I expected. Managed to get plenty of work done, while having a few headaches along the way. I had a light breakfast this morning and was famished by the time I finished my morning round.
The problem was, I had a meeting during lunchtime and that was a couple of hours away. So, I had brunch this morning and caught up with some paperwork and referral before the lunchtime meeting.
While I was looking for food, I realised the entrance to the MediPlex was packed! Apparently the flower shop - BloomThis - was officially opened today and they had a couple of celebrities coming to cut the ribbon. A lot of press there. Snap! Snap! Snap!
Then came clinic. Since start of March, I implemented a stricter no "walk-in" rule for my clinic. I had a longstanding problem with people just coming to clinic whenever they liked for the last few years and it has been worse since I moved to the Cancer Centre. Worst of all, it tended to be the usual culprit and they tended to come well after 4 pm.
Today, there was no exception and I told those who called in to walk in to come early. Last week, one of my notorious patient came after 5 pm, and I told them to rescheduled. They reluctantly did it. I had to be strict from now on. And don't get me started about those on the waiting list ... I had to tell them to come at the start rather than at the end of the clinic.
With the new system, I tended to finish clinic early and everybody was happy.
After work, I watched an episode of Constellation during dinner but did not stop there. Before I knew it, I watched a whole movie - Draft Day it was - from start to finish. It was past 10 pm when I finally settled in ...
