#Riuh at #Urbanscapes
Great music. Great ambiance. Not so great weather.
That summed up the event last weekend when Riuh and Urbanscapes joined forces. The party came to River of Life right in the heart of KL and it was brilliant.
It took place over a couple of evenings. As usual, it threatened to rain. I was busy on the Saturday and had some time to spare on the Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately Anita couldn't come along as our maid was away that weekend. And venturing into festivals like this would have been better with a wingman - or for this matter my winglady!
I ended up only staying for only for 45 minutes but it was enough to feel the vibe. The atmosphere was great although space was an issue. It got crowded and navigating through the narrow corridors along the sidewalk can be quite a hassle. The river itself also proved to be not much of a vista - it was more teh tarik in colour rather than fresh river flow. Well , this was in KL ...
There were plenty of pop-up stores and stages along the river plus more shops on the ground floor of Urbanscapes House. The stage had acts taking place every half an hour and while I was there, I was treated to some sweat blues music from a trio which I didn't catch the name of. Great music.
I mingled along to catch some of the pop-up stores. I was sure Anita would have enjoyed it a lot more than I would. I left early since it the clouds started to gather. It however didn't rain in the end.
A great party on the whole and something I would revisit in the future ...
