*This entry was about the recent vacation we had in Penang prior to Ramadhan*

The boys did their own packing. Since they were taking the train to Ipoh, their bags travelled with me when I left early for the MSH Meeting. So, when we reached Penang, their bags were still in pristine condition and all the had to do was unpack and start jumping on their beds.

We set off from Ipoh right after noon, once the prize-giving event and speeches were done. Staying at a different hotel, I drove from my convention hotel to pick them up, setting off to Penang just after 1 pm. We reached Batu Feringghi just after 4 pm and checked into DoubleTree Resort Penang.

We got a separate but adjoining room to them, connected by a closed corridor which could only be accessed from the inside. They had their separate beds and showers, and most of the time, the room service we ordered went straight to their room - which was the first order of business.

Once they were sorted, Anita and I went out for out kind of food. We went out searching for ABC and laksa. Luckily there were a few stalls we spotted as we were driving into the hotel. Enjoying the sea breeze with a nice bowl of laksa, washed down with cendul was blissful.

Anita and I later had massages at the hotel before settling in for the night. I was not sure what time the boys went to bed and I was exhausted by then ...
