This was a new discovery. I was not sure what was on the spot when we were last in Fraser’s Hill. Maybe an old rundown bungalow. As we arrived at Fraser’s Hill, my Mum was keen for a bite. Just as we passed by the mosque on the way to another restaurant, a big sign distracted us. A giant strawberry actually.

So, we drove around the corner and there we were. Aida Daniya English Teahouse. A nice restaurant at a converted bungalow, with garden and a small strawberry terrace at the back.

The menu had a bit of everything, from traditional Malay cooking to afternoon scones. A bit of Italian pasta in the mix as well. So, we had some rice. They were way better than expected. As Anita and my Mum visited the garden, I went around exploring the restaurant. The had a small area for music in the evening, overlooking the valley. I was sure the panorama in the evenings would be spectacular. Added that to the cool mountain air, we should have a clear winner.

My Mum did not just buy herself strawberry plants, she bought other flowers as well, complete with instructions on how to grow them. It might work at Juli’s place, but I doubt they would last long at my balcony. We spent a good hour there before it was time venture forth.

The next time you were in Fraser’s Hill, be sure to give Aida Daniya Restaurant a visit. A nice cup of chocolate would do wonders while admiring the scenery. Highly recommended.
