Convenience of a Mobile Phone

They are small, easy to carry around and most importantly, allows you to upload the snaps to Instagram and Facebook straight from the device within minutes. Who would not like that?

During my stroll at Pintasan Saloma, there was more snapper using their mobile phones than those using proper cameras. The mobiles were just much more convenient. And their quality, although inferior to the snaps I'm getting from my setup, was more than decent enough. While stuck in the crowd, snapping with mobile just made plenty of sense. No need to carry your clunky gear to manoeuvre around, less risk of dropping your camera and of course, you could slide through at tight angles and get your shot.

There were plenty of apps as well to edit the photos once you have pushed the trigger. Beautifying your selfie was, of course, one of the main ones! But that was a different story altogether. You could also change into video camera mode on the touch of a button as well. The 4K 60 fps clips from my iPhone were not too shabby to be honest - battery and memory space permitting! Some of the newer handphones allowed you to create time-lapse. The possibility was just limited by your creativity.

Lastly, these camera phones allowed geotagging your snaps on the fly. I find this to be an essential part of my shooting. On my X-Pro3, the camera was tethered through Bluetooth with my phone just for geotagging every time I was on the move ... Cameraphones are the next evolution in photography. And whether we like it or not, they are here to stay!
