After a Year of Practice
With the announcement of a more tightened MCO, there would be more checks on movements on the Rakyat. But I did not realise that the power that be had been keeping their thumbs where the sun doesn’t shine and not learn from their experiences for the last year. It was just plain lazy and irresponsible.
I ended up queuing for almost an hour to get home after my Sunday post-call ward round, late for Idlan’s 17th birthday lunch. Apparently, being a Sunday, the fast lane for frontline was not opened. Obviously patient only gets sick Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. And even if the lanes are opened, it was located right at the front, where you had to queue up with the general traffic to reach that lane.
It was a waste of time since even if they manage to identify people driving without a good reason, I don’t think they can cope with issuing a compound for them. All they were doing is delay those with a legitimate business. Better planning in the flow of traffic is definitely needed, but we are talking about PDRM here. Even this post is not worth writing ...
As later that afternoon, I have a member of the Cabinet admitted for a procedure the next morning, I just told them, I would not be bother coming. I only see him the next morning.
