Adding Things Up

It has been two weeks since my move into the new clinic. The place still felt sterile to me, but I have been looking into how to spice the place up. Last weekend, we went to Muji to get some ideas and came up with a plan for a small shelve at the back of the room. This way, I could put some decorations and filing.

But in the shorter term, I plan to add an item a week. So, for this week, I tried putting up drawers under the desk. A simple one, just using adhesive tapes and plastic shelvings. It worked a treat. I also got myself an oversized mousemat which covered half of my desk. It formed an excellent area to write on and contrasted well with an otherwise plain-looking desk.

Next week, I might be looking for wirings to hide my cables from under the desk. I will also start adding things to the clinic's plain walls. Since they were all made of board, I couldn't use nails. I may begin to put selections of my prints, although I am yet to find a suitable lightweight frame to go with them.

I reckon it will take around three months to end up with a design I like. And since I would be spending a lot of time in the room, I might as well start investing. So, watch this space.
