An Evening Up North

I had a free weekend after the turn of the year, and my Mum asked if we can go up North to meet my Aunt - her sister - in Sungai Petani. It ended up being an overnight stay on a Sunday rather than Saturday. That worked out better than we originally planned since the traffic was much kinder.

We did not stay put at the hotel. The evening was spent looking for food - we stopped by at shops and night market - and literally eat whatever I fancied. The Monday morning before we left for KL was spent in Tanjung Dawai, an hour’s drive from Sungai Petani, which was a heaven for seafood - of the dried variety!

And oh boy, did we shop? More on that later.

On for way back, we also stopped in Kepala Batas, prayed there and stopped to buy some biscuits. And we made it back to KL well before sunset. It was the power of traveling on a Monday instead of the weekend ...

More on the trip in later entries. The photos on this entry were taken using my compact Ricoh GRIII.
